THYME II DATA/TIME INTERFACE

THYME II DATA/TIME INTERFACE

An essential part of any SPICE Automation system. The THYME II Data/Time Interface is a virtual metronome, efficiently translating real time to critical SPICE Automation cues. THYME II is also capable of recording SPICE data to a soundtrack tape for "stand alone" presentation.

THYME II is the heart of a SPICE Automation system performing these vital functions:

Generates SMPTE Time Code for recording on a blank track of your show tape.
Reads SMPTE Time Code from a soundtrack and feeds it, in digital form, to the host PC running SPICE Automation software.
Buffers the short-range RS-232 signals from the host PC into long-range RS-485 signals for transmission to SPICE Automation controllers throughout the theater.
Converts SPICE Automation cues into an audio signal, for recording on a second blank track of your show tape.
Reconverts this information into RS-485 digital form for transmission to SPICE Automation controllers.
Optional rider cards allow connection to Touch Screen Manual Control interface and increases speed of SPICE data link.
