EVOLVING COMET SEQUENCE
A tiny, brilliant chunk of ice and dust slowly tumbles through space. As it approaches the Sun the outer layers sublimate, engulfing the nucleus in an expanding gaseous coma. Driven a hundred million miles by the pressure of the solar wind, material from the coma streams back to form a beautifully transparent gossamer tail.
A three projector set consisting of comet nucleus, expanding coma, and unveiling tail realistically portrays this astonishing phenomenon. Note: the movement of the comet through space is simulated using your star projector's star motion.
