SPECIAL EFFECTS VIDEO DISC #7

A collection of special effects and stock images with broad applications in many shows. Disc #7 includes a new 3D rotating galaxy which moves to an equatorial view showing a halo of globular clusters. The rotating Sun is featured in both white light and in a new, spectacular, false-color X-Ray view. Our development of horizon-projection video continues with a splended Solar limb, which rotates toward the audience and includes a fantastic prominence effect. Next come an animated solar wind effect, Earth magnetosphere, and Ulysses probe. A stunning Whole Earth weather sequence shows true weather features superimposed over a rotating Earth. Atmospheric animations continue with dynamic displays of the greenhouse effect for both Venus and Earth. A number of actual encounter graphics from the Galileo probe's second flyby of Earth are featured. Actual video footage of the October, 1992 bolide fireball over Pittsburgh comes next, followed by animated meteors, meteor showers, and a large meteoroid ablating as it passes through the air. Radar images of a double asteroid, a 3D redshift demonstration, a colliding galaxies animation, and new images from the Hubble Space Telescope complete the disc. The disc contains 30 minutes of color video(plus music); only a few sample frames are shown here.
