All-Sky and Panorama Systems

Note: Eastman Kodak and Elmo have both announced that they are discontinuing slide projector manufacture as of Summer 2004. Slide projectors and related systems, therefore, shall be sold and priced as dictated by equipment availability.

Sky-Skan's experience in projector systems can help you expand the possibilities of your dome. With either a Sky-Skan All-Sky or Panorama system, the possibilities for all dome art are endless.

ALL-SKY SYSTEM

Developed originally by Dan Zirpoli, Jim Sharp, and Ray Villard, the All-Sky system has become an industry standard. Complete, dome-filling scenes can be composed with ordinary 35mm camera equipment. An All-Sky projection array is the most cost-effective way to cover the dome with an image. All-sky slide sets are available from numerous planetaria and feature a wide variety of drop-in environments to enhance any program. The system also provides excellent slide registration for projecting constellations, slide markers, and other all-dome diagrams.
